The chair reinterprets the characteristic elements of a beetle’s sections: shape, shells, sutures, rigid outside and soft inside.
The Beetle Lounge Chair is with its comfortable design and generously proportioned silhouette, the perfect lounge chair for relaxation at any contemporary home. The Beetle Lounge Chair carries strong references to GamFratesi’s inspirational source; the four-legged insect, the beetle.
The design of the Beetle Lounge Chair reinterprets the characteristic elements of the beetles’ sections: shape, shells, sutures, rigid outside and soft inside. The wide range of upholstery options allow personalisation, making sure it matches the interior in the most decorative and beautiful way possible. Add the Beetle Ottoman to complete the look and make the seating even more comfortable.
The beetle dining version of the chair is available in a shell, front upholstered, or fully upholstered options. The legs too are offered in a variety of solutions including metal, wood, and castors. The comfortable yet dynamic design makes the chair suitable for multiple environments whether it is in the home or the workplace.
GamFratesi’s design takes its creative drive from a fusion of tradition and renewal and in an experimental approach to their chosen materials and techniques. It aims to create furniture that illustrates the process and the techniques that created it, and which reflect a persistent exploration of the diverse border zone between harmony and disharmony.
Gamfratesi studio was founded in 2006 by danish architect Stine Gam and italian architect Enrico Fratesi. the studio is based in Copenhagen, though Gam and Fratesi are continuously travelling between Italy and Denmark for development and research of new projects.
