Face To Face

“Sit down next to me. I want to look at your face while we speak, to understand what you’re thinking.”

Gordon Guillaumier reinterprets the sofa, transforming it into a space for one-on-one relations. Two backrests mirror each other, while soft feather cushions invite us to sit face-to-face and look each other in the eye, rediscovering the human dimension of our gaze, wherever we may be.

With a fabric or leather covering, Face to Face is designed to sit at the center of the room, both in contract settings and in the intimacy of a domestic lounge room. The contrasting cross-stitched seams make it the perfect metaphor of any relationship between two people.

“Achieving beauty and functionality in the home as well as public spaces – this is the philosophy of tacchini.

A vision expressed across our collections which do not simply follow trends or fashion but instead hold qualities which are timeless; sensitive towards the forms of nature, loving of simplicity and harmony, aware of the cultural background of the project and high in quality of the materials used and the needs and requirements of all involved.”

Gordon Guillaumier was born in 1966, and was educated firstly in Malta, then in Switzerland, England and Italy.
